This calculator uses the standard VAT rate. Some goods and services are zero-rated or exempt. To be sure, check with the Federal Tax Authority.
How it is calculated
- Add VAT: VAT = amount × 5 ÷ 100, and total = amount + VAT.
- Remove VAT: amount before VAT = total ÷ 1.05, and VAT = total − amount before VAT.
- We keep every decimal while calculating and round to the nearest fils (2 decimals) only when showing the result.
